On May 12, 2023, the second annual forum of inclusive education in the Kyrgyz Republic was held in the city of Bishkek at the Park Hotel. The event was dedicated to the exchange of experience between experts and teachers of inclusive education in the TEDx format. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia within the framework of the Bizdin Mektep project, implemented with the financial support of the Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan.
TEDx is an innovative format, a platform for discussion and presentation of any ideas valuable to humanity. T(Technology), E(Entertainment) and D (Design). The TEDx format implies any ideas, and this time the speakers focused on the ideas of supporting inclusive education, psychological and pedagogical support, and quality education.
Experienced speakers shared with the audience information about their pedagogical and managerial experience in education and discussed innovations in solving the problems of inclusion. In the format of panel discussions, already tested models of foreign and domestic school transition to an inclusive regime are presented, as well as answers to questions related to this process: how to create special educational conditions, how to coordinate work in a pedagogical team, how to ensure continuity during the transition of a preschooler from disabilities to school.
TEDx event – an interactive platform for discussing personal experience, for self-expression, as well as the possibility of holding a competition among teachers for knowledge of inclusive education. The second part of the event included an intellectual quiz for 7 teams from pilot schools in Bishkek and Chui region. The best participants were awarded with diplomas and memorable prizes. During the event, an exhibition of works by students of pilot schools and a joint flash mob were held.
